This year’s Grand Baby Fair will set you in the mood to shop while dancing to the hula.

Now on it’s 9th year, the said fair which happens only at this time of the year opened its doors to a huge crowd lining up outside during the preview day yesterday. It’s on until this Sunday.

The entire Megatrade Halls 1 to 3 of SM Megamall turned into one big, luau party. We’re happy we got the memo!

I was at the fair during the preview and the following day after. I need to go back the second time to check for the the other items which I may have missed out the first day.

And while there, I got the chance to see old faces and meet new ones. And this is what they have to say about the fair.

It’s Mommy Cath’s first time to see the fair. Understandably, she got a bit overwhelmed by everything that she saw – all the good brands in one roof and the discounted prices. What she did was get all the nice items on her list which she will later sort out once she have everything that she needs. She is currently 5 months pregnant and has no idea yet of the baby’s gender.

It’s easy to spot an expert shopper like this mom here. Bovi, mom to two-year old, Summer brought a luggage along. Looks like she’s in for some serious shopping. I’ve asked her about what is it that makes her come back to each and every Grand Baby Fair? To which she replied, “Awesome deals which you couldn’t find elsewhere. Plus this is an annual thing so whenever I can, I’ll get a 1-year supply of everything which my daughter uses.”

Mom Frances and Dad Paul knew exactly what to get for their adorable twins. Natural baby products which are mild and gentle to their babies’ sensitive skin which they can find right here at the Tiny Buds booth.

Mommy Jasslyn, the superwoman behind the local brand, Orange and Peach took some time out manning the booth for a quick chitchat. How’s her first time experience in joining the Grand Bay Fair so far? “It’s amazing how this event can draw so many people. It is a good opportunity to showcase what we offer and for that we are really grateful for Baby Company for the opportunity,” said Jasslyn. She added that what she likes most is meeting so many moms in person and hearing their positive feedback on Orange and Peach products.

I couldn’t help but say hi to this multi-tasking mom. Mom Crystel is nursing her 7-month old baby while her hubby pushes the cart. “Andami palang tao at ang laki ng venue compared to other sale events that I’ve attended before,” she exclaimed.

Mommy Stef holds out the swag bag which she got from fair as she was able to meet the Php 6000 minimum spending requirement. “I’m excited to find out what’s inside. We really take advantage of deals every grand baby fair. Hoarding mode on! Haha! That’s why reaching the amount is not a problem at all,” said Stef.

Retail therapy is what most moms would love to do like Mommy Precious who braved the Makati traffic just to get here. She’s a mom to two-year old Vikuzuff. A few minutes into the fair and her cart is already half filled with her go-to baby essentials.

TIPS: It’s still best to go during the first few days as some stocks may have already sold out on the last day. There are fewer crowds near closing time. Should you get thirsty or hungry, there are refillable water stations and food carts inside.
