Are you planning to buy a new stroller to keep up with the needs of your growing child or your family’s changing lifestyle even?
This month of October is a good time to do just that as Baby Company has an ongoing stroller swap where you can exchange your old stroller to avail of either a new stroller or car seat at 20% off with your MOM card. Your preloved stroller would then be donated to babies in need through the SM Foundation. Now that’s a win-win! You get to have the newest gear with features that fit your requirements while being able to help a child in need of one, too.
How many strollers does a baby need?
We’ve used two strollers in the past two years. The first one was a travel system type which comes with an infant car seat. The travel system proved to be useful for when we take short trips which usually are for routine check ups with Riri’s pediatrician.
Riri would be sleeping on her car seat on the way to the hospital and we’ll just easily detach it from the car to the stroller without her being roused from her sleep.
A few months before she turned one, we’ve said goodbye to the car seat. The travel system has become a regular stroller. As it is quite bulky and heavy, we’ve purchased another one which we can easily maneuver around when inside the malls and which would also be useful in travelling overseas.
The umbrella-type strollers easily fit the bill as they’re lightweight and inexpensive. We took it to Singapore where it endured a serious beating. As it is inexpensive, I do not have to worry about it getting dented, mishandled or lost. I can park it anywhere without worrying too much.
And when I’m babywearing, I just load my shopping bags and the diaper bag on it. It has become of my best buys.
Here are some of the really good brands in the market which I’ve seen during my recent visit at the Baby Company at SM Megamall department store.

Before you make that purchase, here are some questions you should ask yourself:
How much is my budget?
What would I be using the stroller mostly for?
Where will I be using it most?
How much weight can I handle?
Do I want all those nice features eg one-hand fold, canopy, storage, cup holder etc?
Is this brand/model safe/age-appropriate?
Would I be travelling with it?
Would we be having another baby anytime soon?
How long will I use it?
Where will I store it?
Aside from the stroller swap, these are some of the other promos in store.
Below are the items that made it to my shopping cart.
